pEnis matSuri?

Went to kawasaki daishi (川崎大師平間寺) ytrdae for the Kanamara Matsuri.. Well, it’s a festival held on the first Sunday in April every year.. Back in the past, during the Edo Period, it’s when the Kawasaki prostitutes visited the Kaneyama shrine to pray for prosperity and to repel syphilis (naturally.. =p ) But now, it’s an international event focusing on fertility and AIDS.. well.. of cuz I din go with THAT intention.. just wanna go take a look.. it sounded interesting.. to quote the write-up, “giant phallic portable shrines are paraded by men in drag”.. again.. not that I would wanna see men (or do u call them "fake" women?).. but the idea of pple carrying a giant statue of THAT thing just amaze me.. haha..

alas.. I couldn’t wake in time.. the festival supposed to start at 10am.. and I waited stupidly for one train which doesn’t stop at the station for near to 30mins before listening carefully to the announcement to realize my mistake.. (can’t blame me tho.. I was thinking of Hallows and Horcruxes.. =p ) By time I reached.. already 4pm le.. but I still walked ard to catch some pics..

Anyway, there was nothing much left to see in the shrine, so i just walked on to the other neighbouring shrines.. it was quite big with a grp of mad pple drinking wine and dancing.. haha.. ok.. not mad mad lah.. but could tell they were enjoying themselves.. haha.. anyway, this is not an indecent pic.. but me! yeah.. me in my first shopping item from Japan! well.. it cost me abt 70plus SGD (heaRt pain, waLLet burNt~) but i just couldn't resist the temptation.. hahah..
