Do not say u r not warned..the following post is definitely long, potentially boring, probably trivial, possibly uninspiring.. why u wan2 carry on reading I do not know, if I were you, I would rather go youtube some vids or go read shorter, absolutely interesting, certainly impactful, unquestionably beautiful and undeniably insightful stuff.. but if u insist.....

This post dates back to 11th of April, the first week of my sch..
I went to an additional class on friday, "Culture, Cultural Adjustment and Identity" Well, i didn't sign up for that class initially because its a friday 430pm lesson and I got more than enough courses (they call them courses instead of mods here..) But then, NUS is pretty messed up, in terms of the mapping of mods.. Most of my other international frens have no probs mapping their mods.. Apparantly, min chu told me "Japan in the Foreign Imagination" only maps for 2MCs for the ARTs GEM, which is pointless cuz in my knowledge, i don't think there's any 2MCs GEM in NUS, is there? In anycase, I don't wanna overload when i go back, so im signing up for more here then drop when they finally clarify the issue with me.. up till today im still waiting for a reply.. Anyway, i went for the class because jennifer was telling me abt it the other day..

well, the class was pretty boring, i didn't know what it was going to be about because throughout the class we were discussing very personal stuff.. its like orientation but held in a classroom..
After class, Jennifer, Alice and me were planning to head to Shibuya to get dinner. While walking, this girl from our class was like asking me "aren't u the one from singapore?" I was taken aback momentarily.. but after talking then i know that she has quite a number of Singaporeans frens and she kinda likes how we speak, our accent (i din even know we had an accent), our singlish.. haha.. to think we were constantly criticised by the government for it.. anyway, she joined us for dinner in the end.. a Japanese guy from our class was supposed to join us too, but in the end he had something he had to attend to, so he just walked with us to the restuarant then left le..

Jennifer asked me whether i wanna go out on sat but i turned her down because i had to catch up with my Japanese language.. i was lagging behind so much so tt in the aural listening lesson on tues i was quite demoralised..I felt quite bad not joining her cuz Sabina alreadi had to entertain her friends from Switzerland.. and she was alone.. so when she asked me to go to Hiyoshi International Student dorm for a welcome party, I said i will go.. but she din give me any details about it and min chu was asking me to join them for a dinner at komaba-todaimae.. it was organised by a singaporean couple, she says she don't know them as well.. but is her classmate told her about the dinner de.. ian was going (he's from SMU btw), wenyuan's going as well.. (singaporean but studying in Toronto.. I introduced him earlier with the name "genichi" ).. In the end i went for the Singaporean dinner cuz it was like close to 4pm on sun noon but Jennifer haven't got back to me regarding the welcome party.. Then, just after i promised min chu im going for the dinner, Sabina, who went mountain climbing with Jennifer contacted me lo.. aiyah.. im always so suay.. =(..

but the dinner was alright.. it was like steamboat.. but i hate both the soup bases.. tom yam.. chongqing ma la tang.. my gosh.. got to know a few friends there.. they invited us to join them for sports on sundays.. hearing they might play soccer lifted my spirits.. but i wonder how r they going to when majority of them r gals.. there's a Brazilian guy tho.. surely very skilled.. haha..

Arranged to meet minchu n daryl (both from NUS ARTs) in Shinjuku on monday to bring them to the Kino there.. min chu wanna go cuz she worked in Kino in S'pore so just curious to go n check it out.. Well, i don't mind going out more often, furthermore i have heard alot of daryl but haven't met him b4, so.. y not? I met ian along the way out of sch n we went to yet another "singaporean" outing.. haha.. so dumb..

After kino, daryl invited us to join him at Rekyo Uni (im not sure if this is how its spelled but its also known as St Pauls) after party.. which we all went.. when i introduced myself there was like an uproar of something.. they all mistaken my name to be Gerrard.. Steven Gerrard.. haha.. well.. it felt pretty gd for a moment.. i bet that's y some pple became celebrities.. anyway, the Prof sat us down and initially wanted to separate all of us and placed me to sit in between 3 girls de lo.. lucky i told him i cant speak much jap then managed to siam.. tho still beside them.. but cant really communicate.. they know abit of eng, i know abit of jap.. its like duck talking to chicken.. wasted lah.. they look quite cute actually.. =p and for that matter, i found out that my name is written the same way as Gerrard in Jap.. haha..

but we din managed to eat anything there becuz we went so late.. so we walked ard Ikebukuro for a nice cosy place to have dinner.. at 10pm.. haha..

disney seacaught the champions league match "Liverpool vs Chelsea" at a pub in Ebisu.. im not sure if i introduced this pub b4.. its a british pub called "Footnik", one of the few drinking places amongst the izakaya(s) to show soccer.. haha.. its quite small (tho taking into the fact that japanese shops r not very big, its size is quite normal le lo..) but lucky ian n i arrived
abt 30mins earlier so still got seats.. hehe.. but we had to walk from Shibuya to Ebisu.. becuz of the last train, we wld have to be in Ebisu by 1am.. but we decided we shld walk ard Shibuya till the shops close, sit down n study first then go there.. cuz Ebisu dun have much lo.. but there's a part of Shibuya tts really sleazy.. there's many condoms shop and shops selling porn.. and then there are many which got curtains covering the the top half of entrance of the shops.. we could only see the legs of the chairs.. its like a barber shop.. but y wld barber shops have curtains covering? hmm.. then we walked on and many pple stopped us, asking us something but we dn understand lo.. ian's jap even worst than mine.. haha.. then got guy, guessed he could tell we weren't japanese so he spoke to us in some english.. he was like "want sex?" then he did some
movements with his hands n body.. haha.. damn funny lah..

anyway, the match was pretty boring to me.. after the match i went to ian's dorm at Shimoda to nap cuz we were going to disneySea! If i go home to nap, i surely cant wake.. anyway, he's so nice.. put his comforter on the floor for me to slp on, lend me his towel.. plus his dorm the utilities is pay as u use de.. feel so bad..

well, the pple from Shimoda organised to go together.. like lead pple there, we oso lazy to find out how to go so just tag along lo.. haha.. april 23rd was Keio's School day, so we had hols and almost all Keio students were going! went with Steph and Saiyi cuz they stay at Shimoda as well.. but was quite pissed off on the train.. we were standing in a circle with some of their friends on the train but somehow the circle got smaller slowly, squeezing us out.. i was like, "diao". They were to the extent of being anti-social and obnoxious.. all foreign students lah.. but i din say anything to Steph or Saiyi of cuz, cuz i duno their friends mah.. mayb they r nice pple.. (but i doubt so~ i so wanted to box them.. haha..)

bumped into Leona, Amy and yuu they all but their grp so big le.. like 8 of them and all gals, so i din join them lo.. met up with Jennifer and Sabina instead.. and 4 of us walked to Disneysea from the station instead of taking a tram cuz the queue was outrageous..

we sat the tower of terror first cuz we just happened to wander there.. well.. mawe told me not to miss that! so.. why not? but the queue was terrible.. i wonder if its always like tt or is it becuz most of Keio is here today tts y.. we waited close to 2hrs then got the ride lo.. well.. it was like the freefall vertical drop but i think its much less scary.. for one thing cuz its enclosed.. usually im afraid to sit it becuz i can see how high i am.. but this one's unique in a sense cuz it plays with the speed.. and it has storyline (tho it doesn't make any sense to me cuz i dunno what they r talking abt.. haha.. its supposed to be a horror story and the pple were all going.. 'heh..." its a sound u make when u r amazed n curious when u hear something mysterious) and it goes up and down several times..

u wld think 2hrs was bad but it was quite ok, while we were having dinner ard 6pm, leona msg to say they still waiting at "The Center of the Earth" lo.. waited 2hr plus liao still haven taken a ride.. sianz.. we caught "Under the Sea" musical (u know.. the little mermaid~)next by accident.. they all see waiting time 10mins so excited.. so we just went in.. well.. the play's quite nice with all the elaborate costumes.. but its quite fake lah cuz u can see the pple operating the machines.. and apart from the songs, it was in jap.. so i could only just admire the machines n costumes lo..

supposed to hav an sch event at the main arena but ian n i decided to skip it.. both of us went to take more rides.. but only managed to get on the the "Jerky Jeep" ride.. ok.. that isn't the name or else i wouldn't have sat it.. it is "Indiana Jones" and it was so tame n lame.. waste my time only.. haha.. by time we came out, there were pple rushing and running over le.. the event ended! so fast? damn..

Jennifer n Sabina met up with us and we went to sit the "Raging Spirits". Now that's better but still not as fast as i would have liked leh.. we went to "Arabia" after tt cuz they wanted to do some shopping b4 the fireworks show.. DisneySea is like divided into many small "towns". It's very interesting.. i cant rem the exact names but its themed.. got "Indiana", "Underwater world", "VolcanoLand" and much more.. and at everyland, they got their own flavoured popcorn.. like caramel, strawberry, cappucino, seasalt?, black pepper? it crazy how they come up with all these nice (and weird) flavours.. haha.

almost missed the fireworks show.. cuz we were supposed to go back to the main arena to watch it mah but luckily we could see it from "Arabia" well.. after seeing so many fireworks show in S'pore.. this wasn't anything diff.. haha.. but it's always nice to see fireworks display i guess..

finished the nite with "Center of the Earth". For me, this was the best ride.. tho majority of the ride is so so slow, i thot i got a wrong idea of the ride.. it was like showing what the center of the center looked like.. like an educational document.. then it speed up suddenly and it went crazy.. haha.. well.. well, i would say altho the rides r not as havoc, I think shld visit if u r here.. their landscapes are so incredible.. its really nice here.. but its really big.. so have to come in the earliest timing.. our sch tix only allowed us to enter at 2pm lo.. i guess tts y its cheaper than usual? haha..
