entraNce to gHibLi~

wEnt to mitaka to visit the gHibLi musEuM on juLy 12~ haha.. tt was almost 2 weeks ago liao, but paiseh that the entRies are lagging~ had exams, plis alot of reports to submit somemore.. but now.. its different.. 今もう夏休みだった～ haha.. hmm.. well.. entries will still be lagging i guess because now i finally can enjOy myself le.. and its the last days of my Japan adventure..

tOp of muSeum~

so we went to this museum, and we had to pre-book the tix like 2 weeks in advance ok.. it was hot property! even tho we went on a weekend, i heard it is as crowded even on weekdays.. well, for those who dunno.. ghibli was responsible for many many Japananese animation, and not those B-grade, C-grade one hor.. famous titles like "Castle in the Sky", "Spirited away", the one in which totoro is in.. and an upcoming film, puupuri or something.. i cant rem the title exactly but the main character is like a pink animation person-fish.. all by gHibLi..

the place was really beautiful.. abeit abit small.. there were drawings and sketches everywhere that i think are so pretty.. but im not allowed to take pics inside the museum!!! arghh... wats the point right? well.. being me.. i sneaked around regardlessly and snap away when i could.. haha.. it wasn't easy u know.. there were staff everywhere.. and i got caught many times lah.. ian was his usual lame self.. saying that if i got caught more than 5 times they will kick me out~ haha.. but they were nice.. they even wait for me to finish taking the pic then they tell me im not supposed to take pics there.. now i feel bad~ but seriously, i think i got caught so many times they recognise me liao lo.. haha..

and we even caught a short 15mins animation clip in the theatre in it.. no dialogues, no big robots, no flying dragons, nothing too fancy but beautifully animated.. and tho it was short, there was abit of a plot and it was kinda touching in the end..

nice tho the place was, i felt it was abit small and i expected more.. like, more drawings and methods of animation.. well.. not that they din have it, but i expected it to be more large scale given the name of gHibLi..

iNtErior~me! as u can see.. buy souvenirs again.. haha~

after visiting the place made me think much abt my future.. i mean.. i am supposed to be doing these stuff , animations, graphics.. in future.. so i shld know abit of these stuff by now.. but i have to admit.. really.. my skill level is at zero. All i have done so far is a CS3241, computer graphics.. but even tt is so long ago i can barely remember the techniques and everything.. and sometimes, how i wish i could draw.. i think being able to draw helps alot, because then i dun have to rely on others to give me pics to animate le (tt is if i can animate lah)..

im don't think im worried tt much abt getting a job, but terribly worried if i can get one in my field of study.. i really wanna do animations for movies, or secondary, design games.. but worried. Just recently, applied for internship for Lucasfilm, Singapore. Even though it would have delayed my graduation by half a year cuz the intern is from aug to dec but i am willing to do so because i dun wanna grad in this manner.. should have done internship last june de lo.. damn reservist! in anycase, my application was rejected, no less because of my mediocre resume..
