Never have I constantly check news update online (well, maybe except soccer news). Never, as frequently as the past couple of days.
A 8.9 magnitude earthquake, a 10m high tsunami, a widespread radioactive nuclear leak, more quakes.. couple with the other destructions around the world make The Movie: 2012, seem more than just a myth. But my only concern now is Japan. For all the various reasons, Japan will always hold a special place in my heart and it really pains me to see all that is happening.
If I had a religion, I would pray to the higher being to stop all the sufferings that Japan is going through. If this was a test of their strength and character, they have shown what they are made of. In lesser countries, people would be looting and chaos would reign. But they have shown that they are a country with dignity.
No matter what the “greater plan” is, I hope the plan for them to suffer has come to an end. Please spare them and set them on their road to recovery. If they have not deserved it before, I believe they have earned it.
To my friends who are still there in Japan – Laura, Yuta, Chihiro, Taiga, Takuya – my idol 広末涼子 (＊羞＊), my thoughts are with you~ please take care, stay strong, and hope you pull through this ordeal safe and sound.
