museum station! looks like from narnia~ haha..
went to University of Sydney first thing in the morning.. had a somewhat diff time finding the uni itself cuz train system was rather diff to read? but when we reached, it was so worth it~ the buildings were exactly as i heard/read/seen.. although only a few lah.. haha.. but they were so beautiful.. esp the madsen building and the quadrangle.. they look like they came straight out of the pages of harry potter.. first narnia then harry potter! what a magical day~ the quadrangle~
quidditch anyone?
met minchu for lunch at circular quay, finally she arrived! was lost for a good hr trying to find The Rocks, a famous shopping area.. like.. Orchard road lydat lo.. only managed to successfully locate it after lunch, so pretty late liao.. din manage to do much tho.. walked thru the flea market.. but nothing really caught my eye.. apart from the tempting corn stick (which i gobbled up w/o 2nd invitation.. =p)..love these quotes~
since we were near the harbour.. we went to see the Sydney Opera house and the bridge. they were so pretty.. well.. sometimes.. cuz the opera house was covered in weird colours most of the time! think now they have some festival where they will proj diff lightings/colours onto buildings after 6pm daily.. yeah.. they wanted to spice things up.. but.. nah.. quite ugly leh.. haha.. or maybe i dont have 艺术细胞吧.. =pthis.. still looks not bad lah..
looks like its poisoned!!! haha~
u think?
sydney harbour bridge~
headed out to blue mountains the next day. first drove through olympic park but there wasnt much to see.. quite boring.. took a nap all the way till we reach some misty field in the middle of the mountains.. caught sight of as many as 4 kangeroos.. quite cute.. but bet we'll be seeing more of those..
so cute~
embarked on some mini hike to wentworth falls.. it was so cold~ but what's worst is the ground is so muddy and wet.. made my shoes and jeans so dirty.. and it doesnt help that the our guide driver kept walking so fast we didnt even have the time to take in the scenery.. just occupied with stepping on a solid, dry piece of land to move forward.. but the lookout at many points were quite nice tho..finally reached blue mountains after lunch.. we choose to walk down the mountain before taking a railway back up.. the route was almost as dirty as that before lunch..and sianz is that couldnt see the 3 sisters at all cuz there was too much fog and mist.. the only things nice was the witches leap, with the human-looking face rock behind the watefalls..
witches leap~
and the waterfalls at vera grotto.. the walk at the bottom of the mountain was quite nice too.. but the railway up the mountain was really scary.. the slope was so steep.. been a long time since i walked so much in a day! tired~
180degrees railway
had a terrifically sumptuous breakfast at sydney fish market! it was absolutely delicious and cheap! only drawback was no sashimi to eat wor.. cuz the store we went to only serves it on weekends..
oishii~
omg! its so tempting~
sianz.. took the ferry to manly beach.. haha.. i dont know.. the name itself is so funny.. but we didnt go bondi beach cuz its famous.. yeah.. cuz it wld be so crowded it wld be ptless to head out there.. although it maybe great to see some naked bodies?=p rented bikes to tour ard the island, which was so essential cuz the place’s pretty huge. Even with bikes, we only managed to go to this place which was previously an arty barrack, and a lookout point at the north heads, which had absolutely stunning view of the ocean and Sydney City.
north heads~
sydney city~
took a train up to parramatta cuz apparantly the train ride has scenic views.. but we 3 ended up sleeping all the way! haha.. met up with minchu's friends there.. tricia and arnaldo.. apparantly she knew them from work at esplanade because they were performing artistes and did some performances just awhile ago..hilarious~
we met them at the visitor information center and just nice all their work were on exhibition there! they gave us a tour of the place and their works, it was so brilliant! if we had walked through them on our own and see and read, we wont know a single thing!the band~
one of their wrks~
its so diff when pple give talks abt them.. and the staff there knew them and occasionally talked to them, i felt like a vip! its like.. we are so impt that they are actually showing us ard in person! after that we went to check out a arts studio b4 heading to max brenners for coffee and chill out.. then we head to the jetty to catch the ferry back to sydney..parramatta jetty~
in a way, it was kinda.. disappointing? cuz we didnt go many places in parramatta.. didnt do much shopping too.. ah well.. i tink its lydat if u meet friends? if we were meeting leona or amy, or any friend which i am close to, i wont mind not doing anything the whole day too.. cuz the company's what's most impt.. =) they look so yummy!
sat ferry again! im getting sea sick when im not on the boat liao lo.. haha.. keep feeling that im swaying left and right.. but i like the concept of having a zoo at an island off the main city.. it feels so cool.. like jurassic park? yeah.. caught the sea lion and seals performance first.. quite impressive.. its better than sg's show? but i think quite normal when compared to hk or tw's zoo.. we also caught a bird show, not unlike the one we caught at sentosa.. here got better view tho.. haha.. from where we were, we could see the sydney harbour bridge and the opera house! imagine that for a view for the animals.. hmm.. then again? a good view to them may be mountains and forests.. haha.. we walked ard w/o much fuss.. the place's quite nice.. but i still think sg's zoo is much better.. but of course they have animals that we dont.. like koalas.. kangeroos.. wombats.. basically the australian animals.. but i love them the cute ones so much esp the meerkat, kawaii! the meerkat!
but the funniest moments of the day has to go to 彼女.. we went searching for the wombat because we didnt get to see the platypus.. at the tunnel, minchu and her were further up front in the cave because i wanted to capture some pics of the rat.. then i heard a scream "ahhhhhhh". omg i thought a tiger/snake escaped from its enclosure or something.. when i got there.. its because a kangeroo suddenly jumped out.. i hope the kangeroo didnt die of heart attack. =p
on the way back, past by the opera house again.. still think it looks best when its pure white in the day.. =p
im breaking up the australia's post cuz its a damn long post.. later jm say i verbal diarrhoea again.. haha.. so i guess that's all for now.. stay tuned for the next post at gold coast! if there's anyone reading at all! haha..
